A little more than 11,000 years ago, when the Doom of the gods was imminent, the sea god Poseidon entrusted his mighty object of Power, the Trident, to his children, the Atlanteans. The Trident’s power enabled Atlantis to dive beneath the sea and hide from the cataclysmic destruction the gods rained down on the earth during their mighty battles. But Poseidon gave his children this single precaution: the seven magical gems embedded in the hilt of the Trident must be scattered to the corners of the world and hidden well. For if they were lost, Atlantis would forever sacrifice her ability to rise to the surface of the oceans once more.

Since then, the Atlanteans have searched the earth for these seven magical jewels on a never-ending quest. Finally, in this age so many millennia later, High Prince Conlan, High Priest Alaric, and Conlan’s band of elite guards—the Warriors of Poseidon—have finally begun to achieve success. They have recovered a handful of the stones. The search continues, for only when all of the gems are returned to the Trident will Atlantis rise.
